Carling Beer Commercial: Taxi

Nov 14, 2009

Carling beer has launched a new commercial, titled “Taxi”. The main idea of the spot is that a friend should never be left behind. The video shows a group of guys lost on a desert island for years and when a ship finally approached, they end up losing the chance to be saved because one of them was missing. The video depicts with great humor the spirit of friendship and fellowship among men.

Cutting Edge Group produced the music track 'Castaway' for this Carling beer advert. The music was recorded with a seventy piece orchestra and composed by Guy Farley.

Does anyone else think that this ad is stretching the analogy of the campaign a bit far? Also, does anyone else think it is funny?
